What the audit covers

Six areas. Checked in the order they cost you money.

Most audits start with the ads people can see. We start with the parts nobody sees, because a platform that learns from wrong data will spend the rest of your budget in the wrong places. Each area below is a chapter of your report, with a score, findings and fixes.

Tracking and conversions

Is the account learning from true numbers? We compare what the platforms report with the orders and leads you actually received.

  • Meta Pixel and Conversions API, with deduplication
  • Google Ads conversion actions, primary vs secondary
  • GA4 events, enhanced conversions and consent
  • WhatsApp, call and form lead tracking

Account structure

How campaigns, ad sets and ad groups are split, and whether that split helps the algorithm learn or starves it.

  • Campaign objectives that match the business goal
  • Fragmented ad sets stuck in learning
  • Performance Max, Search and Shopping overlap
  • Naming, markets and language separation

Audiences and targeting

Who sees your ads and who should not. This is where we usually find the largest share of wasted spend.

  • Search terms and negative keyword lists
  • Audience overlap and missing exclusions
  • Lookalike and customer list seeds
  • Locations, languages and placements

Creative and messaging

Whether the ads still earn attention, and whether the offer gives people a reason to act now.

  • Frequency, fatigue and refresh rhythm
  • Formats per placement: Reels, Stories, Shorts
  • Arabic and English copy quality
  • Hooks, offers and testing discipline

Bidding and budgets

How money is allocated between campaigns and how it is changed. Small habits here quietly reset learning every week.

  • Bid strategies and targets vs real results
  • Budget split by margin, not by habit
  • Scaling rules and change frequency
  • Seasonality and promotion planning

Landing page and funnel

The click is paid for. We check whether the page it lands on can turn it into a sale or a lead.

  • Mobile speed and Core Web Vitals
  • Ad to page message match
  • Delivery cost, cash on delivery and trust signals
  • Checkout and form friction

The scorecard

Read a real-format audit. Open any finding.

This is the structure of the report you receive, filled in for an invented home furniture store that spends on Meta and Google. Pick an area on the left. Every finding is rated red, amber or green, and opens into the evidence, the exact fix and how much effort it takes.

Tracking and conversions

38 / 100

The account reports more sales than the store received. Until this is fixed, every campaign result on the page is unreliable.

Purchases are counted twice on Meta
EvidencePixel and Conversions API both send Purchase without a shared event ID. Meta reports 1.9 times the orders recorded in the store for the same 90 days.
The fixSend the order ID as the event ID from both sources, confirm deduplication in Events Manager, then re-baseline ROAS targets.
Impact: highEffort: lowWeek 1
Two primary purchase actions in Google Ads
EvidenceThe Google tag purchase and the imported GA4 purchase are both set as primary, so Smart Bidding optimises on double the real conversions.
The fixKeep one primary action with enhanced conversions, move the other to secondary for reporting only.
Impact: highEffort: lowWeek 1
WhatsApp conversations are not measured
EvidenceClick-to-WhatsApp campaigns are judged on clicks only. Sales closed in chat never return to the ad account.
The fixTrack conversations started, and log chat sales back as offline conversions each week.
Impact: mediumEffort: mediumWeek 2
Enhanced conversions are live on Google
EvidenceHashed customer data is sent with purchases and matched correctly.
KeepNo change needed. Re-check after any checkout or theme update.
Wasted spend finder

Where the money goes when it does not reach a buyer.

Wasted spend is rarely one big mistake. It is five or six quiet leaks that each look small in the platform dashboard. These are the ones we look for in every account, and how we find them. Mark a leak as fixed to see the sample account change.

Irrelevant search terms

We export every search term from the audit period and tag the ones with no buying intent. Broad match without negatives is the most common cause.

Paying for your own brand

Performance Max and broad campaigns often claim people who were already searching for you. We split brand from non-brand to see what was truly new demand.

Audience overlap

When retargeting and prospecting reach the same people, you bid against yourself. We measure overlap and check every exclusion.

Tired creative

Past a certain frequency the same people see the same ad again and again. We find the point where cost per result starts climbing.

Clicks lost on a slow page

Every paid click that leaves before the page loads is spend with no chance to convert. We test the pages your ads point to on mobile.

Prioritised 30-day plan

Findings are ranked. The plan is in order.

A long list of problems is not a plan. Every finding in your audit is placed by impact and effort, then grouped into four weeks: fix the signal, stop the leaks, rebuild what is weak, then test and scale. Your team can run it, or AlGurus can. Tick tasks off below to see how the sample plan works.

Why this audit is different

Not a sales pitch dressed as an audit.

Many agencies offer a free audit as the first step of a pitch. It is short, generic, and written to show that the current setup is wrong. Ours is written to be used, whether or not you work with us afterwards.

Who it is for

For anyone who spends on ads and is not sure it is working.

An audit is most useful at a turning point: before raising the budget, after results drop, when changing agency, or when entering a new market. These are the four people who ask us for one most often.

Business owners

The reports look good. The bank account does not.

You pay an agency or a freelancer, the monthly report shows strong ROAS, but sales do not match. You want an independent view of what is really happening.

In-house marketers

I need a second pair of senior eyes.

You run the accounts yourself and want a review from people who have managed far larger budgets, before you present the next quarter's plan.

Brands changing agency

What exactly are we inheriting?

You are moving accounts to a new team, or bringing them in-house, and want a clear baseline of what works, what is broken and what to keep.

Brands scaling to the Gulf

Will this setup survive double the budget?

You are growing from Jordan into Saudi Arabia, the UAE or Qatar and want the structure, tracking and pages ready before more money goes in.

When an audit is not the right step: if you have not launched ads yet, there is nothing to audit. Start with a strategy call, or with our Paid Ads Training if you plan to run the account yourself.

Proof

The accounts behind the advice.

We audit with the same eyes we use to run accounts. These are campaign results we achieved for clients after taking over and fixing their accounts. They are results of our management, shown so you can judge the people writing your audit, not promises of what an audit alone will deliver.

Process

From first call to a plan you can act on.

Five steps. You give us read-only access, we do the work, and you leave with a report and a plan you understand. The timeline depends on how many platforms and markets you run, and we confirm it on the first call.

Strategy call

Your goals, numbers, markets and what you have tried. We confirm which platforms the audit should cover.

Read-only access

You add us as analyst or read-only users on the ad accounts, GA4 and your store or CRM.

Deep review

Senior media buyers work through all six areas, starting with tracking and ending with the landing page.

Report and walkthrough

You receive the report and a live call where we explain every red and amber finding.

Act on the plan

Your team runs the 30-day plan, or AlGurus implements it. We check progress at the end.

What you get

A report you can hand to anyone on your team.

Written in plain English or Arabic, with no jargon left unexplained. A marketing manager can act on it, and an owner can read the summary in five minutes.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before an audit.

Still unsure if an audit is the right step? Ask us on the strategy call. If it is not, we will say so.

What is a paid ads audit?

A paid ads audit is a structured review of your advertising accounts to find what is wasting money, what is working, and what to change first. Ours covers six areas: tracking, account structure, audiences, creative, bidding and budgets, and the landing page. You receive a scored report, a sized view of wasted spend and a prioritised 30-day plan.

Which platforms do you audit?

Meta Ads (Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp) and Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, Shopping, YouTube, Display and App campaigns) are the core of every audit. We also review Snapchat, TikTok and LinkedIn accounts when you run them, and use GA4 and your store or CRM data as the source of truth.

Do you need full access to my ad accounts?

No. Read-only or analyst access is enough. We do not change campaigns, budgets or settings during an audit. If you later ask AlGurus to implement the plan, access is upgraded only then and only with your approval.

Who actually does the audit?

Senior members of the AlGurus team who manage Meta and Google accounts every day. Not juniors and not an automated tool. The same people present the findings to you on the walkthrough call.

How long does the audit take?

It depends on how many platforms, accounts and markets are included. A single Meta or Google account is quicker than a multi-market setup across four platforms. We confirm the timeline on the strategy call, before any work starts.

Will you tell us to hire you afterwards?

The report is written so your own team, your current agency or a freelancer can act on it. If you want AlGurus to implement the plan or manage the accounts, we can, but it is your choice and not a condition of the audit.

How much budget do I need for an audit to be worth it?

An audit pays off when there is enough spend and history to learn from. If you have been running ads for a few months and spend regularly, there is usually plenty to find. If you have not launched yet, a strategy call or our Paid Ads Training is a better first step.

Can you audit accounts outside Jordan?

Yes. We work with clients in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the UAE, Qatar, the USA and Canada. The audit and the walkthrough call run online in Arabic or English, and we review local details like currencies, delivery costs and cash on delivery.

Will my data stay confidential?

Yes. Account data is used only for your audit, the report is shared only with the people you name. Read-only access means nothing in your accounts can be changed by us.

What is the difference between an audit and ongoing management?

An audit is a one-time diagnosis with a plan. Ongoing management means a team runs, tests and optimises the accounts every week. Many clients start with an audit, fix the basics in-house, and later move to our Meta Ads or Google Ads management when they want to scale.

Before you raise the budget

Find the leaks first. Then spend with confidence.

Start with a strategy call. If an audit makes sense, you will know exactly what it covers, which platforms are included and when you receive the report, before any work begins.
