This website is run by AlGurus Digital Marketing Agency (registered name: شركة الجوروز لحلول التسويق), Um Uthaina, Amman 11911, Jordan. AlGurus is responsible (the "controller") for the personal data described in this policy.

What this policy covers
This policy covers algurus.com in English and Arabic, our contact form, and messages you send us by WhatsApp, email, phone or social media. It does not cover the ad accounts, stores or data we manage for clients under a service agreement; those are governed by that agreement.
The data we collect
Data you give us
- Contact forms: your name, company or brand, phone or WhatsApp number, email, country, the services you are interested in, your monthly budget range, your message and your consent.
- Messages: what you send us by WhatsApp, email, phone or social media, and the contact details that come with it.
- Client work: if you become a client, the business and billing details we need to deliver and invoice our services.
Data collected automatically
- Server logs: like every website, our servers record technical data such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use it to keep the site running and secure.
- Spam protection: when you send the form we keep a one-way hash of your IP address, your browser name, the page you sent it from and the time it took to fill in, so we can block automated spam and abuse. We do not use a third-party CAPTCHA.
How we use your data
- To reply to your request and prepare a plan or proposal.
- To deliver, manage and invoice our services if you become a client.
- To keep the website and the contact form secure and free of spam.
- To understand how the site is used and which pages and forms bring enquiries, with Google Analytics 4 (see "Cookies and analytics").
- To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations.
We do not use your data for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Why we are allowed to use it
We use personal data only where we have a valid reason: your consent (for example the box you tick on the contact form, or cookies that need consent); steps you ask for before a contract, such as preparing a proposal; performing a contract with you; our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving our website and business, balanced against your rights; and legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect what we did before.
International transfers
Some of our providers store or process data outside Jordan, for example in the European Union or the United States. When that happens we use providers that apply recognised safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, and we transfer only what is needed.
How long we keep it
- Contact form requests and messages: kept until you ask us to delete them, so we can follow up and keep a record of our conversation.
- Client records: for as long as we work together and afterwards for as long as accounting and tax laws require.
- Server logs: for a short period, then deleted or overwritten by our hosting provider.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS, access to form submissions is limited to our team, database credentials are kept out of the website code, and the form is protected against automated abuse. No system is perfectly secure, so if a breach affects your data we will inform you and the relevant authority where the law requires it.
Your rights
Under Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023 and, if you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the GDPR, you can ask us to:
- tell you whether we hold your data and give you a copy;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data;
- stop or limit using it, or object to its use, including for marketing;
- withdraw your consent;
- receive the data you gave us in a common format (EU/UK).
How to ask: email Mohammad@algurus.com with the subject "Privacy request". We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Children
Our website and services are for businesses and are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect children's data; if you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
Our pages link to other sites, such as the Google Partners and Shopify Partner directories, our social media profiles and WhatsApp. Those sites have their own privacy policies; this policy does not cover them.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the way we handle data changes, for example if we add a tool to those listed under "Cookies and analytics". The date at the top always shows the latest version.
