At a glance

AlGurus is an on-page SEO agency in Amman, Jordan, and a Google Premier Partner. We rewrite title tags, meta descriptions, headings, body copy, internal links, image alt text and schema markup on Arabic and English pages, so every important page targets one search intent and earns the click. On-page work is a core part of the SEO programs behind results such as 86K organic clicks in 16 months for a luxury watches store.

What it is

On-page SEO is everything Google reads on the page itself.

On-page SEO is the work done inside your own pages to help search engines understand them and help people choose them. It covers the title that shows in Google, the description under it, the main heading, the words on the page, the way sections are organised, the links between your pages, your images and the structured data in the code.

Technical SEO decides whether Google can reach a page. Backlinks decide how much other websites trust it. On-page SEO decides what the page is about and whether it deserves the search. If a category page has a title like "Men – Collections – Store" and no text above the products, Google has very little to rank, no matter how fast the site is or how many links it has.

Most of the websites we review in Jordan have the same pattern. Titles were written once by the theme or the developer and never touched. Arabic pages are copies of English pages run through a translator. Important pages compete with each other for the same keyword. And the pages that should rank, the categories and services that make money, have the least text on the whole site.

Why it matters

The fastest SEO wins usually live here.

On-page changes are fully in your control. You do not need to wait for another website to link to you, and you do not need to rebuild the site. When a page already sits on page two for a valuable search, a clearer title, a stronger heading and a few paragraphs that answer the question can be what moves it up.

It also improves the click. Google often shows your title and description as the first thing a buyer sees. A title that names the product, the city and the reason to choose you gets more clicks from the same ranking, and that is traffic you would otherwise pay for with ads.

We work in order of value: first the pages closest to the top for searches that bring revenue, then the pages that have no chance today because nothing on them matches what people type.

What's included

What our on-page SEO service covers.

Every engagement starts with a keyword-to-page map, then works through each page element by element. Here is what we touch and why.

Keyword-to-page mapping

We research Arabic and English searches separately, group them by intent, and give each group one page that owns it. No guessing which page should rank.

Title tags and meta descriptions

Rewritten for every key page to match the search, stay within the length Google displays, and give a real reason to click.

Headings and page structure

One clear H1 per page, logical H2 and H3 sections, and a layout that answers the main question before the visitor scrolls.

Content rewriting and expansion

We rewrite thin or vague copy and add the missing answers: prices, sizes, warranty, delivery, comparisons, who the product is for.

Internal linking

Links between related pages with descriptive anchor text, so authority flows to the pages that matter and visitors find the next step.

Images and media

Descriptive file names and alt text, captions where useful, and image sizes that do not slow the page down.

Schema markup

Product, Breadcrumb, Organization, Article and LocalBusiness structured data, tested and kept in sync with what is on the page.

Category and product pages

For Shopify, Salla and WooCommerce stores: category intros, product descriptions written for buyers, and filters that do not create duplicate pages.

Cannibalisation clean-up

When two pages chase the same keyword, both usually lose. We merge, redirect or re-target them so each search has one clear winner.

The checklist

The on-page checklist, element by element.

This is the list we run on every page we optimise. Pick a group to see what we check and what good looks like.

  1. Title tagLeads with the main search phrase, names the city or market where it matters, ends with the brand, and fits roughly 50 to 60 characters so it is not cut off.
  2. Meta descriptionNot a ranking factor on its own, but it sells the click. We write one per key page with a clear benefit and a reason to choose you.
  3. URL slugShort, readable and about one topic. We only change URLs on established pages when the gain is clear, and always with a 301 redirect.
  4. One page per intentEach title targets a search no other page on the site targets. This alone removes most keyword cannibalisation.
Before and after

One category page, rewritten for search.

Category pages are where most online stores in Jordan lose organic traffic. They target the most valuable searches, like "men's watches" or "ساعات رجالية", yet they usually contain a theme title, a grid of photos and nothing else.

Drag the handle to compare. The products stay exactly the same. What changes is everything around them: a title and heading that match the search, a short introduction that answers who and where, filters that help without creating duplicate pages, a buying guide section, answers to the questions customers already send on WhatsApp, and links to the brand pages and guides that support the category.

On a store, we normally start with the ten to twenty categories that carry the most revenue, then move to the product pages under them. On a service business, the same thinking applies to each service page.

Natural, not stuffed

More keywords is not more SEO.

Some pages say too little. Others repeat the same phrase until they read like a spam message. Google's spam policies treat keyword stuffing as a reason to rank a page lower, and buyers leave pages that sound like they were written for a robot. Move the slider to see the difference on one paragraph.

Keyword use
Answers the buyer

We write for the reader first. The main phrase goes where it naturally belongs: the title, the H1, the opening lines and a heading or two. After that we use the words a real buyer would use, including related terms, brand names, sizes and Arabic spelling variants. Search engines understand topics and synonyms; they do not need the same phrase repeated ten times.

Arabic and English

Two languages need two sets of titles, not one translation.

Jordanian buyers search in Arabic, in English, and in a mix of both. The Arabic searches are not a translation of the English ones. People search "ساعات رجالي" and "ساعات رجالية", write ة as ه, and mix dialect with standard Arabic. A translated title often uses a word nobody types.

So we research each language on its own, write Arabic titles and copy natively, and check that each Arabic page targets what Arabic searchers actually type. The two versions are then linked as alternates so Google shows the right language to the right person.

  • Separate keyword research for Arabic and English, including spelling variants.
  • Native Arabic copywriting, not machine translation, with a clean and widely understood vocabulary.
  • Right-to-left checks on titles, headings, prices and mixed Arabic and English text.

Schema

Structured data that tells Google what the page is.

Schema markup is a small block of code that labels the facts on a page: this is a product, this is its price, this is the business behind it. It can make your result eligible for richer displays such as prices, availability and breadcrumbs. Pick a type to see the code and the kind of result it supports.

Illustrative · schema to search result

Omega Seamaster Diver 300M, Blue Dial

Two honest notes. First, schema makes a page eligible for rich results; Google decides whether to show them. Second, Google now shows FAQ rich results for very few websites, so we still write FAQ sections for buyers and for AI answers, but we do not promise the dropdowns in search. What we do promise is markup that is valid, matches the visible page and stays correct when prices and stock change.

Proof

SEO programs where on-page work did the heavy lifting.

These are full SEO programs. On-page rewriting of category, product and service pages was a central part of each, alongside technical fixes and link building. We don't credit the whole result to one discipline, and neither should any agency.

Process

How an on-page SEO project runs.

Most sites see the first rewritten pages go live within the first few weeks. The full cycle repeats every month on the next group of pages.

  1. Research and map

Arabic and English keyword research, grouped by intent, with one owner page for each group. Gaps become new page briefs.

    Week 1–2
  2. Page audit

Every priority page scored against the checklist: snippet, content, links, media and schema. You get the list ranked by value.

    Week 2
  3. Rewrite and approve

We write the new titles, copy and links in a shared document. You approve facts and tone before anything goes live.

    Week 3–4
  4. Publish and measure

We publish or hand over, request indexing, and track rankings, clicks and CTR per page in Search Console every month.

Honest fit

When on-page SEO is (and isn't) the right choice.

On-page SEO solves a specific problem. Here is how to tell whether it is your problem.

A strong fit when

  • Your pages rank on page two or three for searches that matter. On-page work is often what moves them up.
  • Your categories or service pages have little or no text, or titles the theme wrote for you.
  • You have Arabic pages that are machine translations of the English site.
  • Several pages compete for the same keyword and none of them wins.
  • You get impressions but few clicks in Search Console. Better titles and descriptions fix that first.

Not the first step when

  • Google cannot index your pages at all. Fix that first with technical SEO.
  • The site is brand new with no authority. You will need content and links alongside on-page work, and patience.
  • You need sales this week. SEO compounds over months; paid search is the faster lever.
  • A full redesign or platform move is weeks away. Optimise the new site instead of the one you are replacing.

FAQ

On-page SEO questions, answered.

What is on-page SEO?

On-page SEO is the optimisation of the content and code on your own pages: title tags, meta descriptions, headings, body copy, internal links, images and structured data. Its goal is to make each page clearly about one topic and the best answer for the search behind it.

What is the difference between on-page and technical SEO?

Technical SEO makes sure search engines can crawl, render and index your site: speed, redirects, canonicals, sitemaps and hreflang. On-page SEO works on what each page says and how it is structured. You need both; technical problems can block good content, and a perfectly fast page with thin content still has nothing to rank.

How long does on-page SEO take to show results?

Changes are usually picked up within days to a few weeks after Google recrawls the page. Pages that already rank near the top can move quickly; pages starting from nowhere take longer and often need links too. We track every rewritten page in Search Console so you can see the effect page by page.

Do you write the content or do we?

We write it, in Arabic and English. You review it for facts, prices and tone before it goes live. If you have an in-house writer, we can give them detailed briefs and edit their drafts instead.

Will changing titles or URLs hurt my current rankings?

Not when it is done carefully. We check which pages already rank and get clicks before touching them, keep what works, and only change URLs when the benefit is clear, always with a 301 redirect. Every change is logged so it can be reviewed or reversed.

Can you work on Shopify, Salla and WordPress sites?

Yes. We work directly in Shopify, Salla, WordPress and WooCommerce, and on custom sites through your developer. As a Shopify Partner and Salla Partner we know where each platform hides its title, description and schema settings.

How many pages do you optimise per month?

It depends on the depth each page needs. A title and description pass covers many pages quickly; a full category rewrite with a buying guide takes longer. We agree a monthly scope on your strategy call based on your site and goals.

Is keyword density still important?

No fixed percentage works. The main phrase should appear where it naturally belongs, such as the title, H1 and opening lines, and the rest of the page should use the words buyers use. Repeating a phrase to hit a density target is keyword stuffing and can hurt rankings.

Does on-page SEO help with AI answers like Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT?

Clear headings, direct answers near the top of each section, and accurate facts make a page easier for any system to understand and quote. For a dedicated approach to being cited in AI answers, see our GEO service.

Can you guarantee first-page rankings?

No honest agency can, because Google controls the rankings. What we guarantee is the work: a clear plan, every change documented, and monthly reporting on the pages we touched.
