At a glance

AlGurus is a Reels production agency in Amman, Jordan, and part of a digital marketing agency in market since 2018. We plan, script, film and edit short vertical videos with Arabic and English captions for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Meta ads. Every Reel is built around a hook in the first three seconds and measured on watch time, completion and shares.

The media bin

Everything a Reel needs, from blank page to export.

Reels production is more than pressing record. It is a chain of small decisions, and a weak link anywhere shows on screen. You can hand us the whole chain or only the pieces your team can't cover.

Concepts and scripts

We turn your goal into Reel ideas, then write each one beat by beat: the hook line, the on-screen text, the voiceover and the call to action, in Arabic, English or both.

  • Hook-first
  • AR + EN
  • Series ideas

Storyboards and shot lists

Every script becomes frames and a shot list before anyone touches a camera, so the filming day is fast and nothing important is missed.

  • Frame by frame
  • Call sheet

Filming days

Studio or on location in Amman: your shop, clinic, kitchen or showroom. Vertical-first framing, clean audio, good light, and B-roll for later edits.

Editing and motion

Tight cuts on the beat, speed ramps, simple motion graphics and on-brand text styles. We edit for the sound-off viewer first and the sound-on viewer second.

  • Pacing
  • Motion text
  • Colour

Arabic and English captions

Burned-in captions styled for your brand, with proper right-to-left Arabic, natural dialect where it fits and clean Modern Standard Arabic where it doesn't.

  • RTL done right
  • Dialect or MSA

Sound, music and voiceover

Licensed music for ads, platform audio for organic posts where it is allowed, Arabic and English voiceover, and sound design that makes a product feel real.

Cut-downs for every platform

One master edit, re-cut for Instagram Reels, Stories, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and feed placements, with text and buttons moved out of each app's interface.

Covers and ad versions

Reel covers that keep your grid tidy, plus ad-ready variations with different hooks and calls to action for testing inside Meta Ads.

Performance review

We read retention, completion, shares and saves for each Reel, then feed what we learn into the next scripts. The next batch is always smarter than the last.

The storyboard wall

Hook, value, proof, action. Four beats, every time.

Most Reels that fail don't fail in the edit. They fail on the page, because nobody decided what each second was for. We storyboard every Reel before filming so the structure is fixed and the creativity goes into the details.

  1. 0–3s

    The hook

The first frame has to be interesting with the sound off. We open on motion, a bold claim, a question or the result itself, and we put words on screen in the first second.

  2. 3–8s

    The value

The middle pays off the hook. One idea per cut, quick enough to hold attention, slow enough to read. This is where the viewer decides the Reel was worth it.

  3. 8–12s

    The proof

A real detail makes the message believable: hands at work, a customer moment, a before and after, a process shown instead of described.

  4. 12–15s

    The call to action

One clear next step: book, message, save, shop, follow. On screen, in the caption and, if there is a voiceover, out loud.

The timings shift with the format. A 30-second tutorial gives the value beat more room, and a product Reel for ads may hit the call to action twice. But the order stays the same, because it matches how people watch: decide, learn, believe, act.

Director's note: film the proof shot first, while the light is consistent. Keep the bottle label facing camera in every frame.
The hook lab

The first three seconds decide everything else.

People scroll past a Reel in a heartbeat. The hook is the only part of a Reel that every viewer sees, so we write several for each script and pick the strongest. These are the patterns we use most.

The filming day

One planned day can fill a month of Reels.

A filming day without a plan produces hours of footage and a handful of usable clips. A filming day with a shot list and a call sheet produces several Reels, plus B-roll you can use for weeks. That is why the real work happens before the camera is switched on.

We batch scripts so that one location, one setup and one light can serve several videos. We film the hardest shots while energy is high, capture every line in Arabic and English when the Reel will run in both, and grab extra close-ups, textures and reactions that make later edits easy.

We film in studio or on location in Amman: your shop floor, clinic, restaurant, warehouse or office. If your team is on camera, we coach them through the lines and keep takes short, so nobody has to perform for hours. If you prefer not to appear, we build Reels around hands, products, places and on-screen text.

Vertical-first framing

Composed for 9:16 on set, not cropped later, with safe space for captions.

Clean audio

Microphones on every speaker, because bad sound loses viewers faster than bad light.

B-roll library

Details and textures you can reuse in Stories, ads and future Reels.

Bilingual takes

Lines recorded in both languages when the Reel will run in Arabic and English.

Captions in two languages

Most people watch on mute. Your captions are the script.

Three steps.That's the whole routine.
App interface zone

A large share of Reels are watched without sound, on the bus, in the office, late at night. If the message only lives in the voiceover, those viewers never get it. So we write captions as part of the script, not as subtitles added at the end.

Arabic captions need real care. Text runs right to left, punctuation flips, numbers and English brand names sit inside Arabic lines, and many fonts break the letter joins. We set Arabic captions in fonts that render correctly on phones, check every line on an actual device, and decide with you when to use Jordanian or Gulf dialect and when Modern Standard Arabic reads better.

  • Short lines. Two lines at most, broken where people pause when they speak.
  • Inside the safe zone. Clear of the username, buttons and caption area of each app.
  • One highlight per line. The key word in your brand colour, nothing more.
  • Transcreated, not translated. The Arabic version is written to land in Arabic, not converted word for word.
Sound and trends

Cut to the beat. Use trends with judgement.

Sound sets the pace of a Reel, even for viewers who watch on mute, because the edit follows it. We pick audio for the job: what fits the brand, what is licensed for that use, and what helps the Reel get discovered.

Audio track · cuts snapped to the beatSample edit · 0:00 to 0:15

Trending audio, used carefully

Trends can help an organic Reel get discovered, but only if the idea fits your brand. We watch what is moving in Jordan and the Gulf and use a trend when it serves the message, not just because it is popular. Business accounts are limited to licensed libraries, so we check before we build around a sound.

Licensed music for ads

Reels that run as paid ads need music cleared for commercial use. We use licensed and royalty-free tracks for every ad version, so your campaigns never get muted or rejected over audio rights.

Voiceover and sound design

Arabic and English voiceover recorded clean, plus small sounds that sell the product: a pour, a click, a zip, a sizzle. Good sound design makes a phone video feel premium without a bigger budget.

Cut-downs

One shoot, every vertical placement.

Each platform has its own interface, pace and habits. We edit one strong master, then re-cut it so the hook, text and call to action sit right on every screen it lands on.

Instagram Reels: the master

The full story, built for discovery. The hook is designed for viewers who don't follow you yet, and the cover is designed for your grid.

  • Full hook, value, proof and call to action
  • Captions clear of the username and buttons
  • A cover frame that matches your feed
Reel formats

The Reels we make most, and why they work.

A good content mix rotates between formats, so your audience gets variety and you learn which style your customers respond to. These are the formats we produce most often for brands in Jordan and the Gulf.

Product showcase

Texture, detail and use in real life. Built for ecommerce brands that need the product to sell itself in seconds.

Behind the scenes

The kitchen, the workshop, the team. Shows the care behind what you sell and builds trust without a sales pitch.

Founder and expert talks

A face people trust, saying something useful. Ideal for clinics, consultants, education and B2B services.

Tutorials and how-tos

Teach one thing well. Tutorials get saved and shared, which helps the Reel keep reaching people after launch day.

Before and after

A transformation in seconds. Strong for interiors, beauty, fitness, cleaning, automotive and renovation.

UGC-style Reels

Filmed to feel like a real customer's video. Often the best performer as a paid ad, because it doesn't look like one.

Event and launch recaps

Openings, launches and seasonal moments like Ramadan, Eid and Black Friday, cut fast while the moment is still fresh.

Ad Reels

Direct-response videos with the offer up front, built with your media buyer for Meta Ads and other paid placements.

What we measure

Views are the headline. Retention is the story.

A Reel can get a lot of views and still fail if everyone leaves in the first second. We look past the view count to see where people drop off, what made them share, and what made them act.

Audience retention · illustrativeHow we compare two hooks for the same Reel
Hook B: result firstHook A: logo intro

Hook rate

How many viewers are still there after the first seconds. It tells us if the opening works.

Average watch time

How long people stay. Rising watch time means the middle of the Reel earns its place.

Completion and replays

Who reaches the end and who loops it. A strong signal to the platform that the Reel deserves more reach.

Shares and saves

The clearest sign of value. Shares bring new viewers; saves mean people plan to come back.

Reach beyond followers

How much of the audience is new. This is how Reels grow an account, not just entertain it.

Actions

Profile visits, messages, link clicks, bookings and, for ad versions, cost per result in Meta Ads.

Proof from the edit bay

Real accounts, real view counts.

Process

From script to scroll in six steps.

A clear process keeps Reels on schedule and on brand, and it means you approve ideas on paper before money is spent on filming.

  1. Brief and goals

We learn your audience, offer and goal: awareness, followers, messages or sales. Then we review what has and hasn't worked on your account.

  2. Concepts and scripts

You receive Reel ideas and full scripts with hooks, on-screen text and captions in Arabic, English or both. You approve before we plan the shoot.

  3. Pre-production

Storyboards, shot lists, a call sheet, locations, props and people on camera, all agreed in advance.

  4. Filming day

We shoot in studio or on location in Amman, batching several Reels per day and capturing B-roll for later.

  5. Edit and captions

Cutting, motion text, colour, sound and bilingual captions. You review a draft and request changes before final export.

  6. Publish and learn

We deliver cut-downs for every placement, then read the results and use them to sharpen the next round of scripts.

FAQ

Reels production questions, answered.

What does a Reels production agency do?

A Reels production agency plans, scripts, films and edits short vertical videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and ads. At AlGurus that includes concepts, storyboards, filming days in Amman, editing, Arabic and English captions, music and voiceover, cut-downs for every placement, and a review of how each Reel performed.

How many Reels should a brand post?

It depends on your goal, your team and your budget. Consistency matters more than volume: a steady weekly rhythm you can keep up beats a burst of videos followed by silence. We plan a number that fits your resources, then adjust once we see what your audience responds to.

Do you write scripts and captions in Arabic?

Yes. We write in Arabic and English, and we transcreate rather than translate, so each version sounds natural to its audience. We help you choose between Jordanian or Gulf dialect and Modern Standard Arabic, and we set Arabic captions right to left in fonts that display correctly on phones.

Where do you film?

We film in studio or on location in Amman: your store, restaurant, clinic, showroom or office. For brands outside Jordan, we can build Reels from footage your team films using our shot list, or plan a shoot around your schedule.

Do we have to appear on camera?

No. Many strong Reels never show a face. We can build them around products, hands, places, motion text and voiceover. If you or your team do want to appear, we write short lines, coach you on the day and keep takes brief.

Can our Reels be used as ads?

Yes, and they often should be. We deliver ad-ready versions with licensed music, alternative hooks and clear calls to action. As a Meta Business Partner, we can also run the campaigns for you through our Meta Ads service, so the creative and the media buying learn from the same data.

Can you use trending sounds on our business account?

Business accounts are limited to commercially licensed audio on most platforms, and ads always need cleared music. We check the rights for each sound before building a Reel around it, and we use licensed tracks for every ad version.

How long should a Reel be?

As long as the idea needs and not a second longer. Many of our Reels run between 7 and 30 seconds, because short videos are easier to watch to the end. Tutorials and stories can run longer if every beat earns its place. The hook in the first three seconds matters more than the total length.

Can you edit footage we already have?

Yes. Send us your raw clips, phone footage or old videos, and we will review what can be saved. Often a new hook, tighter cuts and proper captions are enough to turn unused footage into Reels that perform.

How do you measure whether a Reel worked?

We look at hook rate, average watch time, completion, shares, saves, reach beyond your followers and the actions that matter to you, like messages, bookings or sales. For ad versions we also track cost per result. Those numbers shape the next round of scripts.
