The difference

What is a web application, and does your business need one?

A website tells people about your business. A web application lets people do work inside it. Your customers log in to track an order, book an appointment or renew a subscription. Your team logs in to approve requests, update stock, assign tasks or read today's numbers. It runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install, and it works on a laptop in the office and on a phone in the warehouse.

Most businesses in Jordan reach this point the same way. The work starts in spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups, then a few SaaS tools get added, and soon the team spends more time moving data between systems than serving customers. A web application brings that work into one place, shaped around how you actually operate, with the right people seeing the right information.

You do not need one if a good off-the-shelf tool already fits. We will tell you that on the first call. You probably do need one when your process is your advantage, when you are paying for many seats on tools that only half fit, or when customers expect a self-service portal that your current site cannot give them.

What we build

Eight kinds of web application we design and build.

Every project is different, but most fall into one of these shapes. Many combine two or three, for example a customer portal with an admin panel and a reporting dashboard behind it.

Customer portals

Self-service accounts where customers track orders, download invoices, book, pay and raise requests without calling you.

  • history
  • payments

Admin panels and back-offices

The control room behind your website, store or app: manage users, content, products, orders and approvals in one place.

  • CRUD
  • approvals
  • audit log

Dashboards and reporting

Live numbers from your store, ads, CRM and finance tools on one screen, with filters and exports for each team.

  • KPIs
  • charts
  • exports

Booking and scheduling

Appointments, classes, rentals and service visits with availability rules, reminders by WhatsApp or email, and payments.

  • calendar
  • reminders
  • deposits

Marketplaces and B2B ordering

Multi-vendor catalogues, wholesale price lists, quote requests and reorder flows for distributors and trade customers.

  • vendors
  • price tiers
  • quotes

Internal tools and workflow automation

Replace spreadsheet chains with forms, approvals, assignments and automatic notifications your team will actually use.

  • forms
  • rules
  • notifications

SaaS products and MVPs

A first version of your software idea, built to launch, learn and grow: sign-up, subscriptions, onboarding and admin.

  • sign-up
  • billing
  • onboarding

Progressive web apps

Mobile-first apps that install to the home screen, load fast on weak connections and send notifications, without an app store.

  • installable
  • offline-ready
  • push
Auth and roles

Everyone signs in. Nobody sees too much.

The moment an application holds customer data, prices or salaries, access control stops being a feature and becomes the foundation. We design roles with you before we write code: who can view, who can create, who can approve, who can export and who can change settings. Then we enforce those rules on the server, not only by hiding buttons in the interface.

Sign-in is built for how people in the region actually log in: email and password, one-time codes by SMS or email, and Google sign-in for staff on Google Workspace. Sensitive roles get two-factor authentication, sessions expire on shared devices, and an audit log records who changed what and when.

  • Role-based access designed per team, enforced in the API and the database.
  • Two-factor and one-time codes for admins, finance and anyone touching money.
  • Audit trail of every create, edit, approval and export.
  • Passwords never stored in plain text, secrets kept out of the code, HTTPS everywhere.

APIs and integrations

Your app should talk to everything you already use.

A web application is only as useful as the data it can reach. We connect it to payment gateways, WhatsApp, accounting and ERP systems, your Shopify or Salla store, analytics and ad platforms, through their official APIs and webhooks. Where a system has no API, we build a safe import and export instead. Tap a connection to see what flows through it.

Your appAPI · webhooks · jobs
CARDS · APPLE PAY · LOCAL GATEWAYS

Payment gateways

Take card, Apple Pay and local gateway payments inside the app, issue refunds from the admin panel, and reconcile every transaction automatically.

payment.succeeded → mark order paid
refund.created → notify finance
payout → update ledger
Admin panels and dashboards

The screen your managers open every morning.

Most web applications end up with two faces: the part your customers or field staff use, and the admin panel where your team manages everything behind it. We design both. Dashboards pull live data from the app and from your other systems, so nobody has to rebuild a report in Excel before a meeting. Filters, date ranges, exports and scheduled email summaries come as standard.

Request funnel

Numbers are invented to show the interface. Your dashboard is built on your own data.

Built for the region

Arabic and English from the first wireframe.

Bolting Arabic onto an English app later is expensive: layouts break, tables flip the wrong way, numbers and dates look odd. We design both directions together in Figma and build with logical CSS, so the same screens mirror correctly for right-to-left. Users switch language without losing their place, and admins can manage both versions of every label and email.

The same care goes into the parts nobody sees until they fail: speed on mobile networks, keyboard and screen-reader access, backups, error tracking and security headers.

Fast on real phones

Server rendering, code splitting and image optimisation so pages stay quick on 4G.

Secure by default

Validated inputs, rate limits, encrypted secrets and dependency updates.

True RTL

Mirrored layouts, Arabic fonts and number formats that read naturally.

Watched after launch

Uptime checks, error alerts and daily backups from day one.

Tech stack

Proven tools, chosen for the long run.

We build on a modern, widely used stack so your application is fast today and easy to hire for tomorrow. Any good developer can pick up the code. Open a layer to see why each choice is there.

Process

How we build: discovery, prototype, then sprints.

We never start coding from a vague brief. First we agree what the app must do and prove it with a clickable prototype. Then we build in two-week sprints, and each one ends with a demo of working software you can click through. Below is the typical shape of a mid-size application; your exact plan is set in discovery.

Weeks 1–2

Discovery and scope

Workshops with the people who will use the app. We map users, roles, data and integrations, and agree what the first release must include.

What you get

Everything you need to run it, own it and grow it.

A web application is a long-term asset. These deliverables are included in every build so you are never dependent on us to understand, change or move it.

Figma design and clickable prototype

Every screen in Arabic and English, desktop and mobile, linked so you can test the flows before a line of code.

Full source code in your GitHub

Your repository from day one, with readable commits and code reviews. No hostage code.

Staging and production environments

A safe place to test every change before it goes live, hosted in an account you control.

Admin panel with roles

Manage users, permissions, content and records without asking a developer.

Automated tests

Checks on the critical flows (sign-in, payments, approvals) that run on every change.

Technical and user documentation

How it is built, how to deploy it, and short guides for each role in your team.

Analytics and event tracking

Key actions tracked in GA4 so you can see how people use the app and where they get stuck.

Team training and handover

Live sessions with your admins and staff, recorded so new hires can learn later.

Support and improvement plan

Monitoring, security updates and a monthly block of improvements once you are live.

What we measure

A web app is judged by what it changes in your business.

We agree the success measures in discovery, set a baseline from how you work today, and report against it after launch. These are the numbers we track. Results from past builds are shared privately on your strategy call.

Time

Hours saved per week

Manual steps removed: copying data, chasing approvals, rebuilding reports.

Adoption

Active users and self-service

How many customers and staff use the app each week, and how many requests no longer need a phone call.

Speed

Core Web Vitals and API response

Real-user loading and interaction speed, plus how fast the server answers under load.

Reliability

Uptime and error rate

Availability, failed requests and errors caught before your users report them.

FAQ

Web application development: your questions answered.

How much does a web application cost in Jordan?

It depends on the number of user types, screens, integrations and how complex the business rules are. A focused internal tool costs far less than a multi-role customer platform with payments. We price after a discovery session, with a fixed scope for the first release, so you know the cost before development starts.

How long does it take to build a web app?

Discovery and a clickable prototype usually take two to four weeks. Development then runs in two-week sprints, and a first release of a mid-size application typically needs several sprints. We aim to put a usable version in front of real users as early as possible and keep improving from there.

What is the difference between a website and a web application?

A website mainly presents information to visitors. A web application lets signed-in users do work: manage records, book, pay, approve and report. Many businesses need both, and we often build the marketing site on WordPress or Shopify and the application separately in React and Next.js.

Do I own the source code?

Yes. The code lives in a GitHub repository under your organisation from the first day, and hosting runs in accounts you own. If you ever want to bring development in-house or move to another team, everything they need is there, including documentation.

Why React and Next.js?

They are among the most widely used tools for building web interfaces, which means long-term support, strong performance and a large pool of developers who can maintain your app. Next.js also renders pages on the server, which helps speed and lets public pages rank in search.

Can the app support Arabic and English?

Yes, and we recommend planning both from the start. We design right-to-left layouts in Figma alongside English, build with direction-aware styles, and let admins manage translations, emails and notifications in both languages.

Can you connect the app to our existing systems?

Usually, yes. We integrate with payment gateways, WhatsApp Business, email and SMS providers, Shopify and Salla, Google and Meta tracking, and accounting or ERP systems through their APIs. If a system has no API, we design a secure import and export or a scheduled sync.

Will it work on mobile? Do we also need a mobile app?

Every screen is designed mobile-first and tested on real phones. For many businesses a progressive web app that installs to the home screen is enough. If you later need native iOS and Android apps, the same API we build can power them.

What happens after launch?

We monitor uptime and errors, apply security updates, keep backups and support your team through the first weeks of real use. Most clients then move to a monthly plan that covers maintenance plus a set number of improvement hours, driven by what the usage data and your team tell us.

Do you sign an NDA before we share our idea?

Yes. We are happy to sign a mutual NDA before discovery, and project data stays inside your accounts and our secured workspace.

Bring the spreadsheet. We will bring the prototype.
