This month we reached a milestone our ecommerce team has worked toward for a long time: AlGurus is now listed in the Shopify Partner Directory, Shopify’s official place for merchants to find and hire partners. We have been a Shopify Partner since March 2020 and have built 75+ Shopify stores since then. Being listed means merchants can now find us, check us and review us on Shopify’s own platform.
Below we explain what the directory is, how partners get listed, how we got here, what it means for merchants in Jordan and the Gulf, and how to verify our listing or leave a review if you have worked with us.
What happened: AlGurus is listed in the Shopify Partner Directory
In October 2026, AlGurus was listed in the Shopify Partner Directory as AlGurus Agency, a service partner based in Amman, Jordan. The profile lists English and Arabic as our working languages and shows the markets we serve, including Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Iraq and more. For merchants, this matters for one simple reason: the listing lives on shopify.com, not on our website. Anyone can confirm who we are, what we do and what other merchants have said about us, without relying on what we say about ourselves.
What is the Shopify Partner Directory?
The Shopify Partner Directory is Shopify’s official marketplace where merchants find, compare and hire Shopify partners for services such as store setup, design, development, migrations and marketing. Each partner has a profile with its services, languages, locations and reviews from merchants.
Shopify explains in its guide to how the directory works that partners are ranked on several factors, including trust and performance, quality of work and the merchant’s location, and that merchants can also sort partners by average rating.
How do partners get listed?
Not every Shopify Partner appears in the directory. According to Shopify’s page on joining the directory, eligibility is based on three things:

Reviews follow the same logic. Shopify only accepts a review from a merchant who accepted a collaborator access request from the partner, meaning the partner actually worked inside that merchant’s store. That makes directory reviews one of the more reliable signals you can find when choosing an agency.
A directory review can only come from a merchant who actually gave the partner access to their store. That is what makes it worth reading.
The road since 2020
- March 2020: Shopify Partner. We joined the Shopify Partner program as more businesses in Jordan and the Gulf moved online.
- The years in between: 75+ stores. We built Shopify stores for fashion, sneakers, watches, jewelry, cosmetics, hardware and more, in English and Arabic, with local payment and shipping set up for each market.
- Beyond the build. Because AlGurus also runs ads and SEO, many of those stores were grown by the same team that built them. One example: a hardware store on Shopify reached 326K JOD in sales and 5,084 orders over five years, with a 0.38% conversion rate against a 0.22% hardware average and 13.65% returning customer rate.
- October 2026: listed in the Shopify Partner Directory as AlGurus Agency.

- A partner you can check on Shopify itself: our listing, services, languages and reviews are on shopify.com, so you can check us before you ever speak to us.
- Arabic and English, from Amman: the profile lists both languages, and our team builds bilingual stores for Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Iraq and other markets.
- Reviews from real collaborations: as merchants we work with leave reviews, you will be able to read what they say, knowing each one came from a store we actually had access to.
- The same standards as before: the store, domain and customer data stay in your name. We work through collaborator access, which is also how Shopify links reviews to real work.
Being listed does not make a store cheaper to build or guarantee sales. What it gives you is a verified starting point. - Make sure you are eligible to reviewShopify accepts reviews only from merchants who accepted a collaborator access request from the partner and have worked with it for more than one week. One review per merchant.
- Respond to the review requestReview requests are sent by the partner through Shopify. Choose the service we delivered, rate quality of work and communication, and add a comment if you like.
- See it on the profileShopify says reviews appear on the partner’s profile within 48 hours, as long as the store is on a paid plan.
